The Brief:

An exciting opportunity and an immediate requirement for an experience Finance Manager - Accounts Payable to join the busy head office of this well respected multinational business.

The existing Accounts Payable Manager is heavily involved with the implementation of a new accounting software package, so we are looking for someone to backfill part of her role and offer support in supervising the accounts payable team.

As the Assistant Finance Manager - Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for a team of 4 accounts payable specialists who process expenses for around 5000 claims per month. Their roles include auditing the expense claim, verifying receipts/details, confirming the claim is within policy as well as checking balances due and dealing with expense queries etc. As their Manager you will need to be a focused and experienced team leader, preferably in the Accounts Payable space, and need to be very skilled in monitoring and motivating staff.

Day to Day responsibilities:
  • Monitoring what the team is doing day to day - daily updates and workload
  • Picking up queries, delegating and following up with team
  • Ensuring team time is used wisely
  • Day to day updates and progress checks
  • Driving team efficiencies
  • Provide support for escalations

Your skills:
  • Team management experience, ideally in an Accounts Payable environment.
  • Organised
  • Process driven
  • Good attention to detail
  • Engaged
  • Proven experience of driving teams and efficiencies
