Our client is one of UK Retail's success stories with over 160 stores in the UK and a rapidly growing Online and International business. They have opened over 30 new stores in the past two years and have ambitious growth plans for 2019 and beyond. Due to expansion they are now looking for an IT Service Analyst to join their head office IT team to be based out of Amersham. Reporting into the IT Operations Manager the IT Service Analyst will ensure that all of the business IT systems are monitored. This will include responsibility for the identification of interface errors and IT batch processing failures, managing these issues through to resolution. The IT Service Analyst will be an experience support person with a sound understanding of retail IT landscapes and a good understanding of retail business processes. This role will require flexibility with shift patters from 6am to 11pm and every third week offers the chance to support work from home on Saturdays and Sundays. You would receive two days off in the week when this happens. There will be an on call allowance for any out of hours escalation support.

Responsibilities - IT Service Analyst

- Become the main point of contact for all alerts and problems from all areas of IT.

- Act as a clear communications channel to the support teams of issues highlighted.

- Escalation to management all major operations and production issues.

- Liaising with 3rd party vendors and external support.

- Manage batch and interface jobs and input into problem management and change management.

- Undertake system administration tasks as needed.

- Undertake security patching across all IT systems and follow the IT Change Control process.

- Assist with the running of the annual audit reports and escalate compliance concerns.

- Recommend improvements to enhance the delivery and reliability of production systems.

- Improve production operations by identifying any process that can be automated and highlight to management.

Desired Skills - IT Service Analyst

- At least two years operational experience in a retail environment.

- Good knowledge of typical retail IT landscapes.

- Experience of working with 3rd party partners.

- Highly driven, self-motivated & confident to succeed under pressure.

- Ability to solve problems, review data and implement effective and structure processes.

- Excellent reporting & communication skills to IT & Business teams.

- Excellent administration skills, quality driven and attentive to detail

- Able to cope with and achieve success with multiple projects.

This is not a traditional IT Operator role so you may have gained your IT experience within a operations, retail or even a support/call centre environment. An IT degree would be advantageous although not essential, it's more important that the IT Service Analyst brings passion, drive and a strong team focussed approach to the role. You may have gained your experience to date as an IT Operator or an IT Support Analyst.
