Police Scotland's ICT Department is embarking on an ambitious programme to implement a range of 'enabling' technologies in support of operational policing. We are looking to recruit an experienced Data Engineer to a dedicated team that support and develop a large and varied enterprise estate.

You will be educated to degree level in a computing or software discipline or have the relevant experience within the technical field of data engineering.

You will demonstrate proven experience and innovation using appropriate tools and techniques to integrate and prepare data from diverse and disparate enterprise applications for analytical and operational purposes. You will have experience of batch ETL technologies or data pipeline development experience. You will be versed in approaches to data architecture and have an understanding of data warehousing, data cleansing.

You are required to have strong experience with either Oracle RDBMS or Microsoft SQL Server databases. In addition you should have good communication, problem solving and analytical skills.


This full time post is permanent and requires Management and Security Clearance level vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm.
