Ensures compliance with applicable policies and reviews contracts to validate that revenue is recorded in compliance with US GAAP. Oversees and monitors the month-end close process. This includes review and sign off on the revenue P&L account while adhering to accounting control procedures. Details forecast to actual variance explanations to ensure accuracy and consistency in monthly financial statements. This position will also provide support for key projects, process improvements and efficiencies.Revenue Manager Responsibilities include:Supervise and mentor a team of accountants both onshore and offshore.Oversight responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including identification and recordation of significant transactions, adherence to deadlines, resolution of critical issues, and compliance with US GAAP.Manage day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring dual coverage of critical functions.Implement and maintain standardized processes across multiple business units. Create and maintain documentation for accounting processes.Responsible for creating (and/or approving) and maintaining documentation related to technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition conclusions. Ensure that revenue is recorded per the established conclusions.Responsible for the implementation of new revenue recognition accounting pronouncements.Responsible for maintaining a strong internal controls process. Collaborate with audit functions to identify and resolve identified control issues.Ensure requests for information from internal and external auditors is accurate and provided on schedule.Responsible for performing analyses and other internal reporting requirements.Monthly review and sign-off on P&L results and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all comply with GAAP, balances are appropriately supported, variances are minimal, and issues resolved timely.Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.What you bring:Qualifications include: Four-Year Accounting Degree+6 years of relevant professional accounting experienceMust have Revenue Recognition Accounting experienceLine Management experience is requiredPublic + Corporate accounting experience (preferred)German speaking preferred (Role will be managing a team of Accountants in Germany)Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred (but not required)Prior experience with Oracle and Hyperion (but not required)Extensive MS Office experience (Advanced Excel)Excellent written and oral communication skillsAble to multitask and flourish in a time-pressured roleBe open to work needed hours to complete monthly closeProven track record of meeting financial deadlines with complete accuracySelf-starter with a proactive approach to problem resolutionTeam player; Willingness to be hands-on What we offer you•A multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities•A modern, international work environment and a dedicated and motivated team•A broad range of professional education and personal development possibilities - FIS is your final career step!•A competitive salary and benefits•A variety of career development tools, resources and opportunities•The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in financial services & technology
