Our client is an extremely well-established and reputable organisation, providing a suite of services throughout the UK.

They are seeking an IT Desktop Analyst to join their busy office in Gloucestershire. The purpose of the role is to be part of the IT Community Support team which is part of the wider support team in its day to day operations providing a high quality IT Support Service.

This is a permanent full-time position, with a starting salary of £24,214.

Duties/responsibilities include:

·Provide a single point of contact to all staff of the Trusts staff in relation to all the services provided by the Informatics Service

·To gain accurate information from callers, using effective communication skills to assess the impact of the reported problems or requests

·Assist in the training and induction of new staff into the Service Desk

·Utilise knowledge, skills and judgment to provide a resolution where possible or where unable to assign call to the appropriate team with a focus on installation, disposal and upgrading of devices

·To deal with all calls received and ensure they are recorded and dealt with appropriately and within agreed SLA's

·The correct and safe installation of potentially expensive devices, including but not limited to PCs, Laptops, Printers and support where appropriate

·To support the IT Support Specialist in developing the service provided by the IT Service Support team

·Managing customer incidents and service requests through to resolution in liaison with other IT support staff as required

·Resolve technical issues via remote access including local patching, user accounts and local configuration. If resolution is not possible remotely a site visit for resolution will be required

·To create and maintain user accounts and record, maintain and manage the CRM database

·Proactively communicating with users about open incidents or problems and ensuring that issues are resolved or a work around is provided within the shortest possible timeframes

·Provide a Service desk service that can support the users through transitions and complex technology changes

·Ensuring the Incidents and Problems are managed on behalf of end-users throughout their full lifecycle

·Comply with all information governance procedures and protocols, including the confidentiality of patient and staff records

·Regularly undertake equipment / system testing

The successful candidate:

·Degree in computing or IT related subject, or equivalent experience in a relevant role

·Excellent general level of education to A-Level or equivalent, particularly in IT, English and Mathematics

·Microsoft Qualifications

·Evidence of experience in a similar role, together with relevant experience in IT support, project tools and environments

·Technical Knowledge in IT technologies, for example, Windows 10, VoIP etc

·Experience of Device hardware and device deployment

·Good stakeholder management skills

·Good verbal and telephone communication skills

·Demonstrate a commitment to undertake further training

·Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and empower others

·Drive, passion and enthusiasm, with the ability to relate well with other members of the team
