We brainstorm, design, architect, innovate, experiment, build and maintain the systems that power Ocado.Our Technology Operations department is focused on providing support for our strategic platforms and services to support our automated facilities for the Ocado Smart Platform. This is an exciting opportunity for talented individuals who wish to join a fast-growing international company that is using state of the art technology. The Ocado Smart Platform is our new modular and scalable hardware platform for building our highly automated warehouses which we will use to put some of the largest bricks and mortar retailers around the world online using our disruptive business model.We're looking for an extremely motivational, natural leader to join our Technology Operations team to lead our site support teams in the UK and mainland Europe. The successor of this role with manager all of the current teams within Ocado's CFC network as well as the teams across our newest endeavours, including Zoom. It's safe to say the pressure will always be on!What would I be doing? Effectively inspiring, coaching and supporting site managers and their respective teams to enhance and improve the services overall performanceIdentify and lead continuous and measurable improvements.Managing business planning and preparation of regional budgets, forecasts and costs Engaging and motivating the team to build a positive and collaborative culture ensuring whilst ensuring that all teams provide high quality feedback to central Head Office teamsAdhere to reliability road map by ensuring sites are actively applying best practices in preventive and predictive maintenanceWhat does the team do?The teams that the successor of this role will manage our onsite support teams across the Ocado EMEA estate. You will be a key stakeholder throughout the new site development programs, post-construction phase, and build, inspire and motivate talented on-site Technology support teams, creating a loyal, focused and dynamic working environment which is reflective of the Ocado values.Customer service and fantastic communication is key to the success of our on-site support teams, we need to ensure we have an autonomous and collaborative function that provides a seamless service to our stakeholders across Europe. What we'd like from you?Be a knowledge hub for technology hardware, software support environments and the latest technology trendsA bachelor's degree in a Technology related discipline partnered with a background in Total Performance Management and ITILStrong background in performance management, coaching, and mentoringA wealth of experience in Operational Management leading multinational teams with significant industrial workplace experienceSignificant experience of progressive leadership, multi-location managerial experience, leading operations teams, high-tech manufacturing and automated distribution facilities preferredIt's important that the successor of this role can remain fully flexible and adaptable with ways of working.
