Our client is an extremely well-established and reputable organisation, providing a suite of services throughout the UK.

They are seeking an IT Deployment Technician to join their busy office in Gloucestershire. The purpose of the role is to provide a highly efficient and professional service and to act as the responsible individual for: imaging and asseting new and existing stock, deploying hardware to client and shared sites, providing service desk phone support when required, owning the lifecycle of the IT equipment.

The role is primarily field based, but time will also be spent in the office. You may also be required to take part in an on-call rota, providing out of hours IT support.

This is a permanent full-time position, with a starting salary of £21,089.

Duties/responsibilities include:

·Attend any of the staffed sites within Gloucestershire when required and act as the first point of contact for replacing equipment

·Resolve customers' day to day technology queries, resolve issues and manage incidents, problems and service requests through to resolution

·Manage real time communications with customers on the current status of IT Systems and Operations, liaising directly with any other Informatics team as required

·Utilise knowledge, skills and judgment to provide a resolution where possible or where unable to assign call to the appropriate team with a focus on installation, disposal and upgrading of devices

·To deal with all calls received and ensure they are recorded and dealt with appropriately and within agreed SLA's

·The installation of devices, including but not limited to PCs, Laptops, Printers and support where appropriate

·Work across a range of technologies (from printers, phones, laptops etc) to support staff and support the wider IT team to resolve operational incidents impacting the business functions in a timely manner

·Utilise IT tools provided to perform role such as imaging desktops and laptops, pushing out software updates, remote support to staff

·Managing customer incidents and service requests through to resolution in liaison with other IT support staff as required

·Support the transition to operational service new systems and informatics solutions

·Physical handling of computer equipment, particularly laptops, PCs and printers

The successful candidate:

·NVQ 4 or diploma in IT, Information Systems, related subject, or experience in a relevant role

·European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

·Good general level of education to GCSE or equivalent, particularly in English and Mathematics

·Experience in a similar role, together with relevant experience in IT support, project tools and environments

·Evidence of experience in an IT supporting role

·Technical Knowledge in IT technologies i.e. Windows 10 and Office 365

·Proven organisational and administrative skills

·Excellent verbal and telephone communication skills

·Self- motivated with the ability to motivate others

·Drive, passion and enthusiasm

·Able to attend and participate in all mandatory and statutory training events
