We are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to join our Airfreight Team at our Manchester branch who will be responsible for winning new business and selling our freight services to potential new clients and existing customers

YOUR ROLE

A key part of the role as an Account Manager will be to actively source new customers, bring them on board and achieve profit growth by developing and maximising all opportunities within the accounts. We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and motivated individuals with a real passion for sales that will go the extra mile to understand the need of each and every one of our customers and offer a tailored account manager service adding real value to their business and offering unrivalled accountability in the industry

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Focused predominately on selling our airfreight services however will be an element of trying to secure seafreight business as well
  • Generate new prospect leads and new accounts over the telephone and face-to-face.
  • To Close additional business through telesales, Customer Visits - Face to Face selling (B2B) and email
  • Responsible for retention and growth of portfolio ensuringthe GP target does not fall below the minimum expected and to up sell where possible
  • To be the one point of contact for the customer for all airfreight needs and requirements
  • Achieve Sales productivity and revenue targets
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
  • Provide customers with accurate and cost effective quotations.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly figures of sales activity as instructed by the Branch Manager

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
  • Experience working in a proactive telesales or cold calling sales role ideally with Outbound telesales experience
  • Experience of generating own sales leads would be beneficial
  • Previous Supply Chain management knowledge to identify and implement logistics solutions would be advantageous
  • Experience of working to targets and KPI's
  • Strong administration and organisation skills
  • Influencing Skills are essential
  • Ability to influence others
