A long-established service-driven company offering service, sales, and rental of lift trucks and associated materials handling equipment has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handling Equipment Senior Engineer to join their team based in Malton, North Yorkshire.

They provide materials handling sales and services to all parts of Yorkshire and the North East. They are in the middle of an exciting time for their business with a move to a larger premises, growing rental fleet and a ever-growing service database.

About the role:

Due to continued growth and their keen focus on the service they offer customers, they are looking for a Senior Lift Truck Field Service Engineer to join their small friendly team.

They are keen to work with an enthusiastic engineer who takes pride in their work and a keen eye for detail and a job well done.

A successful candidate would find themselves with a varied day working on lift trucks of all shapes and sizes, reach trucks, side loaders, battery warehousing equipment, powered access equipment and electric vehicles.

Areas we cover currently include Scarborough, Bridlington, Driffield, Hull, Whitby, Middlesborough, Ripon, York, Thirsk, Goole, Doncaster, Malton, Leeds and everywhere in between.

Engineers Skills:
  • A solid understanding of electric 12v - 80v AC/DC motor systems
  • Experience with diesel, LPG, Battery powers
  • Hydraulics systems

Preferred Qualifications / Licensing:
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • NVQ level 3 in Engineering
  • Qualified to carry out Thorough Examinations (LOLER & PUWER) preferably accredited to the CFTS Scheme
  • Experience with Battery, LPG & diesel powered lift trucks or associated equipment
  • Due to growth in this area experience with powered access equipment (beneficial)
  • MEWP & Counterbalance/reach truck operator licenses (beneficial)

Above all that, they are looking for someone who has a reliable work ethic who enjoys aspects of engineering and fault finding, and who would endeavor to do all they can for their customers.
