Our client is a well- established, multi-site, retail business. They are offering a great opportunity for a Cashier / reconciliations clerk to join their Finance team based in London. In this role you would be reporting to the Accounts Receivable supervisor. The focus will be to ensure that all invoices are receipted in a timely manner, allocating BACS; CHAPS and cheque payments, reconciliations and handling allocation queries.

Key duties/responsibilities

* Ensure the timely posting, receipting and allocation of all sales ledger cash
* Daily allocation of all sales ledger cash
* Responding to management accountants' queries relating to month- end close
* Reporting on cash position (money coming in to each division and money outstanding)
* Journal movements and forms
* Creating month end record with remittances and bank statements for each division
* Generating cash and debt reports
* Supporting client account and bank reconciliations
* Creating KPI's for those in other teams

Requirements

* 2 years finance experience in Accounts Receivable
* Sound debit and credit journal entry experience
* Excel skills (Pivots, formulas, V Lookup formatting)
