Our ambition is to become a business that is growing, efficient and diversified. To support this, we are looking for a Delivery Systems SME Data Insight to define, monitor and uplift the standards, adoption and performance of our reporting systems and applications.

The role

As the Delivery Systems subject matter expert, you will be the 'voice of the Delivery Operation' in supporting the digital transformation at our operational units.

You'll be required to implement new systems and reports to Operational business users, analyse performance data and provide strategic direction to improve our operational scorecard (People, Safety, Efficiency and Quality).

Working with a variety of stakeholders, to include Senior Operational Managers, technology suppliers and the reporting experts, you'll define the requirements for reporting systems and reporting developments and drive the standards and simplification of our reporting systems.

You'll ensure the reporting systems are developed to best meet the needs and data literacy capabilities of the business users and explore and champion the use of new methods of presentation and technologies such as machine learning and 'robotics' with our technology partners.

You'll be responsible for the on-going compliance with and the improvement of performance against systems goals, ensuring the data integrity is at the highest level and decision making is robust when using the delivery reporting tools.

Working with our technology suppliers, you'll establish monitoring systems to compare system usage and performance and use business data to establish usage trends seeking opportunities to develop systems improvements or user training to meet the needs of the users.

You'll discuss the reporting of business performance with the user community, drive technical, visual and user improvements identified by them and play a vital role in training and planning.

About you.

A high degree of data literacy and analytical skills are essential together with a good track record in using data and targets to drive operational performance.

You need have a proven track record of shaping reporting systems to meet the needs of a wide range of users and have experience of presenting information in systems in the best ways to get results for the user community.

With good interpersonal and engagement skills, you'll be confident in making technical decisions, building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.

You'll have a good understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques and be experienced in undertaking root cause analysis to identify actions to improve performance areas.

Location: Nationwide base. Flexibility is needed as you will be required to travel to different locations, to include London, on a regular basis.
