As a Technical Claims Officer reporting directly to the Claims Technical Leader, you will:
  • Train and coach new starters in the claims assessment role. * Train and coach existing members of the team on assessment codes and new training material. * Update existing training material and create new training notes when needed. * Design and execute a training plan for all claims assessors. * Create and manage IR requests for the claims department * Audit claims that meet the audit criteria on PARIS. * Review the claims audit rules and authorisation levels quarterly. * Carry out closed file reviews. * Manage claims projects to help meet our department targets. * Be the technical referral point for claims assessors, CSM and other areas of the business * Participate in external audits along with the Technical Underwriter. * Participate in the monthly Claims and Technical Underwriting Forums. * Execute Data Subject Access Requests. * Manage the technical mailbox to keep within our SLAs * Update claims with industry news. *Be responsible for the principles and quality of the assessing that is carried out by the operational side of claims.


You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English. It is essential that you have experience in assessing Claims Experience working in a veterinary environment preferred. Experience in training or coaching others desirable Project management experience - able to organise and use resource effectively to balance time, cost and quality to deliver a first class service, would be an advantage Must be flexible and able to respond to the needs of the business.
