Your new role
An exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Test Technicians looking for a career in a fast paced manufacturing environment. In this role you will be responsible for the assembly and test of scientific digital cameras, optical measuring systems, components and accessories. You will work with the production team in the build and completion of products, participating as part of an effective and efficient operations group in the achievement of agreed quality, time-scale and cost objectives. Assemble and test high spec instruments, optical measuring devices and components. Use of both manual and automated test equipment and instruments. Working areas may include clean room/laboratory and/or shop floor environment.

What you'll need to succeed
HNC or equivalent in a relevant (engineering) discipline with 6 months experience in a production/manufacturing environment or educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent, in Maths and English (Grade C or above) with minimum of 3 years' experience in a high tech production/manufacturing environment. Good manual dexterity required for small/delicate components Fine soldering skills would be an advantage Knowledge or experience of electronics an advantage.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an hourly rate initially £10.78 pr hr with great working hours, Mon - Thurs 9 -4.30pm and Fri 9am - 12pm. Flexitime is offered with this role. Car parking and canteen on site. The role is initially for 3 months but if a successful 3 months there may be the opportunity to go permanent.
