The Student Services Division supports learners at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. The Division has a client orientated culture and puts learners' needs at the heart of everything it does. The Division is structured into sections that work together to ensure student success and satisfaction.

Your primary role will be to coordinate and provide activities, workshops and events in line with Support Service delivery plans to enrich the student experience. Activities will promote positive student behaviour, respect, wellbeing, safety and learner voice. You will work closely with the wider team to effectively promote all Support Services and to ensure students are provided with holistic information and advice from our Student Support centre and associated satellite services across all college sites. Events and activities will range from: the Freshers' Fair, to learner voice training, elections and respect/relationships workshops.

You will demonstrate a high level of organisational skills and the ability to lead, coordinate and deliver multiple objectives. Candidates for this role must hold a Youth Work qualification or an equivalent (as a minimum) and have extensive practitioner experience of working with those 'at risk'/vulnerable. You will have demonstrable skills in the context of planning/delivering activities and staff management and have evidence of working effectively with multiple external agencies and staff across an organisation to achieve Service objectives. Able to work effectively as part of a team in the Service and autonomously with a strong use of initiative to lead others.

You will have a strong track record of engaging young people and adults from diverse backgrounds, ideally in an informal education or community based setting. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a positive, calm and 'can do' pro-active approach. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of individuals. This position is a contract until. It is a full time position, working 36 hours per week.
