Our busy client based in Stroud are currently looking for a Site Engineer to work on various Projects, predominately around the South West. They do however cover the whole of UK and Europe so occasional nights away will be required.

To undertake the Pipefitting/fabrication/welding activities onsite. The role reports to the Site Manager and Managing Director.

Duties included but not limited to:

* Ensure all site projects are carried out under their control are executed in a manner which meets the requirements of the customer specification and quality standard.

* Ensure that all customers continuously receive a high quality of goods and services.

* Ensure selection, suitability and control of materials and welding consumables

* Understand technical drawings and plans in order to complete the job to the customer's specification

* When necessary liaise with the customer or site employees in a professional manner

* Set up and operate machinery onsite

* Maintain good housekeeping at all times and ensure site is keep clean and tidy

* Ensure conformity to the day to day health and safety of the workplace, adhere to Site regulations and seek advice if assistance is required.

* Ensure that timesheets, expense records and paperwork are kept up to date and submitted to the office

* Records and paperwork to be kept up-to date and submitted to the office for retention

* Promoting whenever possible customers focus and ensuring that customers continuously receive a high-quality standard of goods and services. Any non-conformances should be reported to the Site Manager/ Project Manager immediately.

* Ensure that quality control and assurance are maintained and conform to ISO 9001:2015 processes

* Ability to manage time - keep within the allocated hours assigned to project.

You will have:

* Good technical knowledge of pipefitting/welding industry and standards

* To be able to perform different types of pipework installation (with different materials and welding, crimp, solvent weld, threaded etc)

* To be a pro-active team player with good communication skills

* Basic computer skills

* IPath, confined Entry and safety Passports training certificates are desirable but not essential

In return:

My client are offering competitive rates of between £23,000 - £25,000 depending on skills and experience + an excellent and friendly working atmosphere along with further training and progression.
