Our client is looking for an experienced Projects Development Officer.

Principal Accountabilities:

To give advice and guidance to parents / carers, schools and others on all matters relating to school admissions and school organisation proposals

To determine entitlement to school places referring to the Local Authority's determined admission arrangements, schools' admission arrangements, statutory guidance and legislation

To process applications for school places - first admission to school, infant to junior and primary to secondary transfer, including arrangements for appeals

To process in year school applications, including arrangements for appeals

To liaise with services within and external to the Local Authority regarding the admission to school of looked after children, children with special educational needs and children permanently excluded from school

To liaise with other local authorities when dealing with applications which involve children resident in, or schools located in, other areas

To contact schools to identify available school places and notify them of the allocation of school places

To assist in the collation of appeal papers and appeal cases

To identify cases which need to be referred to the Fair Access Panel, record details and maintain Fair Access records

To assist in the production of reports, papers and plans by carrying out research, collation of information and statistics

To assist in the preparation of pupil projections and collate information relating to the provision of school places

To assist in the analysis of pupil projections and other information to help identify areas where there are significant issues relating to the provision of school places

To assist in the reviews of school places and school organisation proposals

To liaise with other Local Authority departments, and agencies outside the Local Authority, to identify factors which need to be taken into account when reviewing school places

To prepare, collate and distribute consultation documents

To arrange and attend consultation meetings relating to school organisation issues to take notes 17. To support the processes leading to the implementation of school organisation proposals, including: preparing public notices and supporting documentation for statutory changes to schools, co-ordinating the work of different departments within the Local Authority (property planning, human resources etc.); ensuring that the statutory processes are followed correctly

To advise schools on issues relating to school organisation

To assist the pupil services manager in processing applications for home to school transport to the director of Children, Families and Schools, by recording application details and requesting additional information from the applicant, schools or other bodies

To assist Passenger Services in support arrangements for home to school transport

To assist in the preparation of items and documents for posting on the Council's website

To update records of East Riding schools recorded on Edubase
