My client is a successful manufacturing organisation based in the Fife area. Due to continue success and growth they have a newly created position within the Finance Team and are looking to hire an experienced Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include:

Process purchase invoices including matching against item receipts on accounts software, obtaining authorisations and dealing with any queries to ensure suppliers are paid within terms
Set up new suppliers and new employees on accounting software
Produce payment summaries for supplier payments and employee expense payments
Load payments onto Bank for authorisation
Post any incoming receipts and outgoing payments through the appropriate ledgers
Prepare bank recs on a monthly basis
Support with month end duties

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following background and skills:

Previous experience of working in a similar Finance Assistant/Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant position
Educated to HND level or above in Accounting
Strong IT skills which should include MS Excel and financial software packages
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy skills
