We are looking for a School and College Progression and Engagement Co-ordinator to expand our team working on the Chichester College Group and Sussex Learning Network's Collaborative Outreach Project (SLN:COP) as part of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme. You will be based across our Crawley and Brinsbury sites working 37 hours per week, on a two year fixed term contract. In return, you will receive a competitive rate of £26,459 per annum, plus Crawley Weighting allowance £610 per annum.

The Chichester College Group is the largest provider of further education in Sussex and is comprised of 4 Colleges: one at Chichester, one at Crawley, one at Worthing and one at Brinsbury near Pulborough, which is land-based. Key responsibilities of our School and College Progression and Engagement Co-ordinator:

- Oversee the identification of the local NCOP target cohort; develop a pre and post 16 NCOP intervention and support programme that complements existing activity; develop community engagement projects; collaborate with SLN-COP central team on the cross-cutting strand projects.

- Work alongside the relevant teams at Chichester College Group in order that NCOP activities complement the schools and college engagement work that is already taking place.

- In liaison with the Director of HE at Chichester College support the identification of the NCOP cohort; develop and deliver an undergraduate study skills programme; lead on the development of pre and post 16 work; engage parents; oversee the College's mentoring project and developing an enhancement programme; and monitor student destinations.

- Establish and cultivate relationships with schools and colleges in the NCOP wards and establish excellent working relationships with designated lead contacts where there are NCOP pupils/students.

- Identify the needs of school/college and plan, deliver and support aspiration, attainment and progression activities to meet the needs of the cohort.

- Responsible for planning, monitoring, analysing and evaluating the NCOP local programme data, including updating HEAT and liaising with the NCOP Research and Evaluation Manager and Data Officer.

- Prepare materials for presentations and activities ensuring that suitable materials and resources are available to support student ambassadors.

- Provide accurate information, advice and guidance to students, teachers and parents on potential student pathways.

- Keep up to date with pre and post-16 curriculum developments.

- Represent SLN-COP at School and College based progression, careers and HE Fairs.

Our ideal School and College Progression and Engagement Co-ordinator should have the below skills and experience:

- Level 2 in literacy and numeracy

- Degree qualification (or equivalent)

- Experience of developing and delivering widening participation and aspiration activities, with demonstrable outcomes

- Experience of providing information, advice, guidance and progression support to school and college students

- Understanding and demonstrable experience of widening participation issues in deprived areas, including the requirements of learners

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate clearly to a variety of audiences including students, parents and staff

- IT skills including Microsoft Office, digital and social media
