FP&A Manager

Firefly are working closely with a market-leading global aviation services organisation, that specialises in providing support for individuals, corporations. They have an exciting opportunity for an FP&A Manager to join their extremely high-functioning finance team, based in Farnborough. The role will report into the Group Financial Controller, and will support the Divisional Finance Director, identify opportunities for improved management reporting and plan, then implement, those improvements with the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Helping the GFC to check the assumptions and assess the profitability of new project proposals from the businesses
  • Helping the businesses to improve the quality of the monthly management accounts and analysis reports, and to make use of Group finance and information systems to improve the efficiency of management reporting
  • Leading all annual and strategic financial planning activities for Gama Aviation plc
  • Leading the delivery of robust financial analysis (in partnership with the Operations department) to challenge business performance and drive profitability
  • Building and then driving FP&A team performance across the group, ensuring activities are prioritised with a focus on critical issues
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the Group FC and the Executive and wider business as required
  • Building relationships and developing the trust of the internal and external customers.
  • Supporting the Operations department in all aspects of employee related budgets and headcount plans ensuring balance between cost efficiencies and work requirements

Skills & Experience
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA preferred)
  • Finance professional with a proven track record in FP&A
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills combined with a strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with the business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident, with the ability to influence and constructively challenge the business
  • Ability to adapt and work within a challenging and changing environment, whilst maintaining financial rigour
  • Degree educated or equivalent
