A fantastic opportunity has become available for an ambitious graduate to join an award-winning educational content provider.To meet the needs of future growth plans, we require a well-educated and highly motivated Copywriter to help with the development and awareness of our products and brand within new and existing channels and markets. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating product descriptions for existing and new products, gaining further market and channel insight, and creating copy for email and new product launches. Daydream Education is the UK's leading provider of educational posters, and with our extensive range of posters, revision guides, apps and software, we are expanding into new international markets. Current growth in North America is far exceeding expectations and to build on this the new role will also be responsible for managing copy in this territory as well as the UK. This is an exciting time to join a company expanding rapidly in international territories. We now need the skills of a talented individual to help us achieve this.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Copywriter will be responsible for communicating the features and benefits of our products and brand.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Managing marketing and product copy

- Researching channels and markets to identify new opportunities

- Copy creation for new and existing products

- Proofreading

- Building databases to manage market insight

- Planning and scheduling

- Establishing consistent tones and messages across our brands specific to each territory

The Person

The successful candidate must be creative and have an excellent understanding of the English language. Experience in a copywriting discipline with a marketing bias would be beneficial but is not essential. The successful applicant will be degree educated and have exceptional grammatical and written skills. Candidates with previous copywriting proficiencies are encouraged to apply.

You will need to have:
  • the ability to effectively develop a project brief
  • excellent writing ability, including the ability to write in different styles, and to people's direction
  • good research and analytical skills to gain an accurate understanding of the market segment
  • the organisational ability to manage multiple projects, often to tight deadlines
  • a creative approach, both in coming up with ideas for new projects and for getting a message across innovatively
  • the ability to work independently and flexibly
  • good attention to detail, including the ability to proof-read your own and others' work
  • strong interpersonal skills as you'll be working with a range of creative and marketing team members
  • an understanding of digital marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO)
