An IT Incident Manager opening has been created by this Travel company based in Weybridge, Surrey, paying up to £40,000 + benefits.

We're looking for an Incident Manager to work across our Global Markets to be the decision maker and lead triage during any major IT incident.

You'll be working with team of passionate technical colleagues based across the pond in Miami and be the only Incident and Problem Analyst based in the UK in a fun environment where you will:
  • Drive major incidents to resolution by taking ownership and enforcing the Incident Response process
  • Funnel Subject Matter Experts to the approved communications channels during major incidents
  • Collect proposed actions, recap actions to be taken and delegate accordingly
  • Designate incident post-mortem owner and instruct the owner they will be responsible for looking up logs, managing the investigation, and keeping all interested parties informed
  • Monitor post-mortem progress by tracking activity, recommending actions and collaborating with post-mortem owner
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to assist in implementing the Incident Response process

Key skills desired for this Incident Manager role are:
  • Be able to interact effectively with all levels of management, both internal and external
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of IT terminology and computer concepts
  • Understand ITIL/ITSM processes
  • Capable of working independently and collaborating with subject matter experts, business partners and technical peers to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs
  • Excel skills preferred to create formulas, utilise VLOOKUP, pivot table and charting functions
  • PowerPoint skills preferred to create charted decks and present to Directors and
