Tuberculosis Clinical Nurse Specialist (New Enterant Screening)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sister/Charge nurse to join our Tuberculosis (TB) service. We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills, effective and proven team management and an enthusiasm for providing health education, treatment and advice for patients. This role will involve the provision of nurse led outpatient TB clinics as well working across the local community. We are looking for a Nurse to take on the position as a band 7 New Entrant TB specialist nurse. You should have a respiratory nursing qualification or experience, previous outpatient clinic experience would be beneficial but training will be given. This role involves community visits and offsite outpatient clinics. Our enthusiastic team strivefor improving patient care and are looking for an individual whois willing to go the extra mile to ensure our patients receive the highest quality care. You will be joining a small proactive and supportive team who work closely with the lead TB Consultant and pride themselves on their achievements and community relationships.Thisjob would provide predictable weekday hours and could be tailored to provide flexibility within the week if required. Previous TB nursing knowledge is desirable but not essential as training can be given alongside a Band 6-7 development programme, In return we will offer you: * A full induction programme * A competency based appraisal system * Opportunities to undertake formal study New Entrant TB screening clinics are held in King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor), Upton& Wexham ParkHospital (Slough), and in other appropriate local Community sites. You will be expected to travel and engage with Community organisations to improve the uptake of TB screening. You would join us in achieving this goal and in trying to reduce the high TB rates in our area.
