Responsible To: Senior Manager/Proprietor

Purpose:

To manage in a professional manner the day to day running of the home's administration, clinical, finance, training and care planning. To implement working practices that monitors the health and welfare of the home clients and staffs and their living and working environment. To promote quality care within a warm friendly ambience.

Main Responsibility
  • Determine staffing, Financial, Material and other short and long term requirements.
  • Plan work schedule, assign tasks and delegates responsibilities of staff
  • Maintain contact between residents and the local community and/or family and friends
  • Ensures that residents have access to health and social care services as required.
  • Create a friendly secure atmosphere to gain the trust and confidence of those in the home or under supervision.
  • Ensure that the physical comfort and all material needs of residents are provided and attempts resolve problems that may arise.
  • To ensure current Health and Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health regulations pertaining to the home are implemented.
  • To manage the home within the regulations of the Registration Authority and UK Government and European Legislation
  • To maintain confidentiality on all aspects of care and home management
  • To have an in-depth operational knowledge of all emergency procedures and ensure these are communicated to all staff and clients through practical training exercises.
  • To have regular meetings with Residents, staff and other associated medical professionals, to ensure good care practice
  • To inform the home owners immediately if a serious difficulty or event occurs
  • To investigate all complaints and follow through to their conclusion.

Note:In addition to the responsibility listed above it may be necessary to perform other duties not listed. Consideration will be given to your skills and status when requesting you to perform these duties.

Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £15.00 to £16.00 /hour
