SUMMARY OF ROLE

Provide sales-related contract services to the applicable Emerson Automation Solutions unit(s)/area(s), with minimal levels of supervision.

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviews, drafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, with minimal supervision by more senior Contract Services staff, including in:

Responding, within established guidelines, to customers' RFP/RFQs, vendor qualification documents and contractual requests;
drafting and negotiating with customers, appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties;
• Taking the Contracts Lead role on
less complex international and multi-BU project contracts
less complex frame agreements (single WA),

but taking the Contracts Lead role (including the Global Contracts Lead role on GSAP accounts) on more complex projects and frame agreements as experience develops.
• Interfacing with customers, members of the legal team and other EMR stakeholders to bring deals to closure;
• Analysing business, financial, and legal risks.
• Researching information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports.
• Provide contract-related guidance to Sales, Project Management and other stakeholders
• Participating in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals.

Customers, Management, Law Departments, EMR Risk Management, Finance, Customer Financial Services, Tax, CheckPoint, Audit, International Trade Compliance, Business units, Strategic Accounts, Project Pursuit, Sales, Lifecycle Services, Project Management, and others as required to bring deals to a closure.

DIMENSIONS AND SCOPE (if applicable)
• Mobility to travel (expected up to 20%) around Europe and elsewhere staying away from home.
• This position has no direct reportsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Preferred: IACCM Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Training Program - to Practitioner Level.
• 2-4 years in a contracts related role.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of Contract Law & its associated principles.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties.
