If so, Ocado's Data Protection Team WANTS YOU!The Data Protection Team is currently a team of three - a Data Protection Officer, Data Protection Lawyer and Data Protection Analyst. Your colleagues are passionate about embedding a culture of privacy at Ocado and you'll be working with a delightful, supportive team who really look forward to welcoming a like minded individual to join their ranks!What will you be doing..Working with the DPO as a subject matter expert, to ensure the organisation is compliant with data privacy legislation.Assist the DPO in monitoring compliance with the GDPR , the UK's Data Protection Act 2018 and other relevant data protection regulations across the global business.Undertaking activities such as data protection audits in relation to processing activities. Encourage a culture of privacy by design when implementing a new project, system or process.Carry out Data Protection Impact Assessments with areas of the business to ensure they meet the required obligations.Investigate data breaches, collaborate with the Data Protection Champions to identify remedial actions and ensure those are implemented.Monitor and advise on record-keeping in relation to Ocado's data controller and processing activities.Deputise for the DPO in their absence, acting as a point of contact with the Supervisory Authority (ICO). This may include facilitating access to the documents and information necessary for the ICO to perform their regulatory duties.Supervise Data Protection Analyst.Provide advice and guidance to staff who assist with processing Individual Rights Requests Advise on data protection requests from third parties.Liaise with customers and employees who have raised concerns about how their individual rights request has been managed.Work with Data Protection Champions to prioritise focus on issues that present higher data protection risks whilst not neglecting monitoring data processing operations that have comparatively lower level of compliance risks.Work alongside the Risk Manager and Head of Information Security to ensure that other compliance monitoring activities do not conflict/overlap with the Data Protection Team's core responsibilities listed above.Maintain data protection policies and procedures.Work with stakeholders to ensure they know what is expected of them under the new GDPR regulations and give practical help to overcome areas of risk.Monitor compliance with staff training programme and work with Data Champions to maintain a comprehensive understanding of data protection across the business.Provide updates to the DPO as appropriate.Uphold the highest standards of work and professional conduct.Act as an ambassador to promote and support the Ocado's core values and branding.About you....Proven experience in a similar position including significant data protection advisory experience however all candidates will be considered on meritAn in depth understanding of GDPR/data protectionOperational aspects of data protection including privacy practices such as impact assessments, handling data subject's requests, employee monitoring, third party contracts and breach managementResilience in order to influence resistant staff in ensuring compliance with the way that they workAbout Ocado Group When our journey started, we were all about changing the way people shop for groceries. 20 years later, we're a FTSE 100 business developing our own ground breaking technology, opening multiple sites at an accelerating rate and engaging in exciting new business partnerships around the world!Transforming an industry means also transforming the way we do business.
