NEW RETAILER WITH REVOLUTIONARY NEW PRODUCT SEEKS SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER TO ENSURE SMOOTH DELIVERY ACROSS THEIR RETAIL ESTATE.

My Client is a very successful business with a revolutionary new product that is about to come to market.With multiple locations across the globe and as all their goods are imported, and then sent across the world from one central location , logistics forms a crucial part of the business's management strategy.

The role of Retail Supply Chain Manager will require an experienced, proactive and hands-on person to drive the supply chain management for manufacturing products and their delivery into retail. This will require the candidate to have an in-depth knowledge of, and first hand experience in retail/FMCG supply chain and logistics, used to creating an effective, efficient B2C supply chain operation from scratch. A working knowledge of NPD and retail operations would also be an advantage, as would experience of working within a start-up business.

The role-holder will be working at offices in West London and will include foreign travel to support the manufacturing.

YOU MUST HAVE;
The role-holder is expected to:
*Be a proactive self-starter and creative problem solver, able to deliver innovative solutions to the supply chain operations
*Have at least 5-8 years experience in designing and managing retail/FMCG supply chain operations to multiple retail sites and concessions both within large corporates and ideally, start-up retail organisations
*Be technically strong with proven analytical skills, capable of picking up new concepts and technologies
*Have advanced project management and scenario planning skills with ability to drive change and influence decision-making through multiple levels of the organisation
*Understand end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies
*Have practical experience in a manufacturing environment and understanding of manufacturing processes and quality controls
*Have great inter-personal skills; Demonstrate professional presentation and communication skills to communicate technical knowledge in clear and understandable manner
*Be willing to travel worldwide to support the supply-chain management and manufacturers
*Have high sense of urgency, be adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities
*Be highly skilled with supporting software tools (for example Microsoft excel, Microsoft Access, or SQL)

It is desired that the role-holder:
*Have an entrepreneurial outlook and desire to work in a disruptive start-up environment
*Have experience in multi-disciplinary work environment
*Be familiar and up to-date with manufacturing technologies and requirements
*Be up-to-date with intellectual property rights and protections
*Have experience of mathematical computing and analysis tools
