Midwifery Integrated Services Team Leader
Community Midwifery T eam leader Band 7 - full time. Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Midwife with a passion for continuity to work within the integrated midwifery service as a Community Team Leader. You will be a dynamic, motivational, innovative, visible and active leader with the drive and determination to support the national picture of maternity service transformation. You will be resilient and able to manage complex situations as well as being well organised and innovative. You will be motivated to provide evidenced based care, with the aim of promoting a positive experience of maternity services for all women and increasing births in the midwifery-led settings. The post-holder will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team ensuring that there are good lines of communication between Integrated and complex midwifery services. Working in partnership with the integrated services lead midwives, the matron for midwifery-led services and the consultant midwife, the successful applicant will lead a team of midwives and support staff to successfully deliver the Better Births vision of Continuity of carer for all women. This is an exciting time to join the team and to welcome new roles to the maternity services. Interview date: 4th October 2019 If you are successful in obtaining a position with our Trust which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. As a registered body with the DBS, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will conduct the administration of this application on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment or over 3 months. Currently the charges made by the Disclosure and Barring Service are - Standard DBS check £30.20 and Enhanced DBS check £48.20. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered. Please note if you are applying for a volunteer position then the DBS check is free of charge.
