The role requires someone to work with internal teams as well as external contractors and suppliers ensuring there is a consistent drive forward with NPD
The role will encompass a broad spectrum of activities including:
•Creating new product briefs•Competitor and Market Research as part of NPD brief•Follow up and manage NPD project, according to timeline record set up and agreed•Work with suppliers and contractors to arrange prototype and ongoing production tweeks•Create design visuals (renders) for sales and ops team to use when working with existing customers/projects won•Setting & maintaining product standards,•Prototyping•Designing visuals & manufacturing drawings•Creating product specification documents.•Create design visuals for sales & operations team within 48 hours•Create product spec sheets for all current products within first 8 weeks•Achieve agreed deadlines for NPD projects
Requirements:1.Commercially minded with understanding of a customer focused approach & desire to continuously improve.2.Product design skills with CAD.3.Practical mindset (engineering background beneficial) with understanding of supply chain management.4.Measuring & accountability (tolerances).5.Excellent communication skills (verbal & email). 6.Highly competent in Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. 7.Good attention to detail.8.Highly organised and capable of managing several simultaneous projects.
