Claims Broker Manager job, Southend, £55,000, working for an independent Lloyd's Broker.

Your new company
Your new job working as a Claims Broker Manager/ Supervisor will be for a specialist Lloyd's broker in the City and Southend. Your new brokers are a young, innovative and fully accredited Lloyd's Broker who specialises in providing binders, facilities and reinsurance solutions. Due to the substantial growth in the technical division, a new permanent position for an all-encompassing Claims Broker Technician/ Claims Manager in the Southend office has arisen.

Your new role
Your new job working as a Claims Broker Technician/ Claims Supervisor Technician means you will be responsible for both processing of complex claims and the management of a technical team of 9 staff. You will be responsible for managing all claims processing - producing relevant documentation and for managing claims on ECF and Class. You will monitor Claims renewals, reviewing performance and sending renewal notices and chasers. You will be managing a team, monitoring their KPI's, delegating their workload and helping them managing claims from cradle to grave as well as sorting out settlement authority. You will give assistance with binding authorities, as well as be responsible for producing cover notes, policy schedules, debit notes and monthly lineslip declarations. You will be using ECF and Class systems daily and be able to produce LPAN's. Other duties will include maintaining required records, reports and files and present these to senior management, general administration and dealing with any ad hoc duties when required.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as a Claims Manager / Claims Technician within a respected Lloyd's Broker will contribute to you success in securing this role. You will have proven experience in the management of cross-class claims and be competent when it comes to managing a team of claims technicians and delegating workload. You will have proven experience of dealing with both Open Market risks and Binding Authorities. You will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Software to include Word, Excel and Outlook and you will confident in your ability using ECF and Class system. Ideally, you will be professionally qualified and have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates. You will be able to show excellent time management skills, while prioritising and ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
