Our client is a high-growth IT services company providing digital technology solutions and agile software development to enterprise customers. Across their 30-year history, they have worked on transformational projects across government, NHS and a myriad of private sector clients.

As a Delivery Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients innovative digital services and platforms meets the needs and outcomes agreed between them and their customers, whilst ensuring the delivery follows good governance and quality standards. Through robust and well managed agile delivery this should allow you to also identify and sell more services.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Understand critical success factors for the project (beyond the traditional measures: on time, on budget and to agreed scope) and ensure each work stream has a plan in place to achieve the success factors.
  • Achieving or exceeding profitability targets plus accurate and timely forecasting and reporting of project variables (revenue, staffing, work in progress, debt etc.).
  • Exploiting opportunities for adding value to the client, ensuring that expectations are proactively managed and issues addressed promptly and appropriately.
  • Ensuring appropriate project governance, reporting arrangements and technical quality standards are developed and followed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring project risks and issues are managed effectively and escalated where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Sales & Account Management teams, assisting where required with the sales/procurement cycle to best position our client to win profitable new business.
  • Building and maintaining constructive and collaborative relationships with the client, suppliers and third-party stakeholders.
  • Motivating and empowering teams to create a positive and creative culture for people to perform well, learn and grow.
  • Ensuring team members have clear goals, receive regular feedback and have timely and constructive appraisals.
  • Staffing teams and on-boarding of new team members.

Skills & Experience:
  • You will be an experienced Project Manager/Delivery Manager, with demonstrable success managing the delivery of technology-based/digital transformation projects using agile methodology
  • Previous experience working for a consultancy or system integrator, with knowledge of the financial services, health or government sector
  • Strong experience managing and leading project teams
  • Evidence of developing and managing client relationships with ability to speak and present to clients at all levels
  • Broad technology experience, awareness of current technology trends and a sound understanding of contemporary software engineering practices and behaviours
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound understanding of project dynamics

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience of project delivery aimed at digital transformation.
  • Experience of user research, analytics and design disciplines and their contribution to the effective delivery of digital services and platforms.
  • Evidence of securing significant follow-on business with an existing client.
  • Evidence of innovating or leading initiatives to improve management and leadership practices within a team or an organisation.
  • Holds a current and recognised Project or Programme Management certification.

Additional Information:
  • Salary Offered: £85k-£100k + bonus + corporate benefits
  • Travel profile: Predominantly based on client site in or around Belfast although travel up to 2-3 days a week may be required
