Reed Education are currently working with a specialist SEMH school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are currently looking for a strong and experienced 1:1 Tutor to work alongside a male pupil with very low engagement levels and Maths/Literacy abilities.

Working on a 1:1 basis within the student's home over three days per week, you will be responsible for providing a stimulating and engaging learning environment for a KS3 pupil who has very little interest in their academic studies and finds it very difficult to stay on task. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to connect with young adults based on their own individual interests.

What you will need;
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant, SEN or Learning Support Qualifications
  • Experience supporting on a 1:1 basis, providing interventions or working with small groups
  • A passion for supporting SEN pupils with a variety of needs and ensuring they are able to overcome barriers to learning and engage in the curriculum
  • Dedication, initiative and resilience to overcome issues faced
