Full Stack Java Developers - £30-60k - Nottingham or partially/ completely remote

Role: Full Stack Java Developer role in a tech company;

Company: household name company.

Location: Nottingham or partially/ completely remote.

Salary: up to £60k plus good benefits.

Suitable for: Enthusiastic, intelligent and passionate developers who are looking for an opportunity to bring all their knowledge and experience to the fore in a genuinely stimulating hands on development role, using cutting edge technologies and development practices.

Working with a Cyber Security company that is based in Nottingham, I am looking for someone to join their small-but-growing-team to develop new user-facing features and build re-usable code libraries for future use. They are bringing a one-3rd party piece of software in-house, so this role will include conversations with internal stakeholders to help define requirements (it's made for them to use) as well as development work on both front and back end code.

The role will require writing Java and Typescript, but the role is open to applications from other programming backgrounds; they are looking for great developers, not just specific skills on paper. Front end skills are as important as back end skills. Front or back end developers wanting to go full stack will also be considered. Some or all of the following is expected;

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise application development.

• Experience of server-side frameworks such as Spring, Play, or .Net.

• Design and implementation of RESTful web services.

• Good understanding of Relational Databases, SQL, and the JPA.

• Experience of front-end UI development.

• Understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3 and SASS/LESS.

• Proficient in client-side JavaScript frameworks, such as node, jquery, angular, angular.js, react or vue.js.

• Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and design.

• Experience of source control systems such as Git or Subversion.

• Good communication skills.

• Used to an agile development environment.

Beneficial but not essential:

• Some knowledge of Linux & Docker.

• Some knowledge regarding cyber security.

• Experience of automated testing frameworks.

This is a role that will give a chance to learn from and contribute to a very talented team and a chance to really show off your skills!

If you feel you'd be a good match for this role, or would like to find out more, please apply now or call the number above!
