Corporate Tax Manager

The Company
Based in this large historic university and minster town, my client is one of the Big4 Accounting Practices who are going through a period of exceptional growth within their Tax functions and within the Southern Region generally. With an attitude geared towards outputs and work/life balance you will operate at a senior level managing a team providing Tax Advisory services to well recognized UK and Multinational PLC's

The Role
*Your responsibilities will predominantly be focussed on advisory work as tax compliance work is delivered from our compliance centre.
*You will be responsible for managing an established team and providing excellent quality advisory services to a high profile portfolio of both UK and multinational clients ranging in size from £50m - £20bn+ turnover
*The role will also include supporting local and regional business development activity to generate new business, and winning work.
*You'll also be responsible for taking a lead role in the support and development of the junior members of our growing team.
*You'll get the opportunity to work directly with partners, directors, and technical specialists in areas of tax and different territories.
*You should be interested in being an all-round business adviser who enjoys working closely with clients to provide them with proactive innovative and commercial tax services.

*Must have appropriate qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or similar) or a fully trained Inspector of Taxes or Tax Lawyer with corporate tax experience.
*Prior experience operating as a Manager or the ability to demonstrate this level of seniority
*Experience of identifying and advising on tax advisory projects including restructuring and due diligence
*Able to produce high quality work to time and in budget
*Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and knowledgeably with staff and partners at all levels across the business, as well as with senior client management
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong internal networks and client relationships
*Demonstrable experience of successful client management
*Efficiently planning and delivering work, taking responsibility for budgeting, resourcing, billing and compliance and demonstrating an awareness of risk management issues, managing own workload as well as junior members of the team
