Document Management Assistant
Up to £15 per hour
Central London
Temporary (6-month fixed-term contract)


As a Document Management Assistant, you will onboard and process cheques and apply electronic funds to accounts that have been onboarded.

Responsibilities:
  • Handling electronic funds processing and reconciliation work
  • Processing of customer postal applications
  • Providing a departmental postal service
  • Sorting, scanning and archiving all post and documents
  • Printing and dispatching statements and forms on behalf of the department
  • Logging applications and filing correspondence
  • Recording management information on internal IT systems and Excel Spreadsheet
  • Answering internal customer requests
  • Challenging established processes, looking for efficiencies and improved controls

Requirements:
  • Maths and English GCSE - C or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience within a Treasury, Payments or Finance Operations team
  • Payment processing experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of UK payment systems (CHAPS, Faster Payments, BACS, Cheques)
