What you will be doing

You will join a team that works well together to provide care to men with mental illness and/or Personality Disorders; supporting people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn't do last week because of you.

Where you will be working

The Farndon Unit is a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways for women with complex care needs.

Our combination of general low secure wards and a recovery Ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation prior to discharge. Our on -site facilities include large and attractive en-suite bedrooms, disabled facilities, secure courtyard and garden, patient café, gym, salon and activity hall.

We have celebrated successes with complex patients via the training of all of the staff and the implementation of the Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Model. We actively promote patient involvement and ensure that they are at the heart of everything that we do .All interventions are delivered at the Farndon Unit are underpinned by a compassion based approach by all staff.
