As a member of this hardworking and collaborative team, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining the accounts payable process, as well as having scope to add more responsibilities to your role as you develop.

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced finance assistant / accounts payable clerk, or for someone with a passion for numbers who is enthusiastic to progress within Accounts.

The role primarily involves working on the purchase ledger for the holding company and for the other group companies but will involve other ad hoc finance tasks.

The post holder will work within the finance function and will report to the Group Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely processing of purchase invoices.
  • Daily bank posting and reconciliations for all group companies.
  • Liaise with staff to seek approval of invoices.
  • Dealing with supplier queries.
  • Monitoring of the shared Accounts email inbox.
  • Maintain ledgers and ensure queries are resolved.
  • Scanning invoices onto network drive.
  • Central point of contact for Accounts Payable.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required.

About you:
  • Finance Graduate / AAT Qualified or experience working within a finance team
  • Experience in SAGE Accounting System desirable, but not essential.
  • Organised with the ability to multi-task.
  • Good knowledge of Excel desirable, but not essential.

  • Salary circa £20,000 D.O.E
  • 25 days holiday p.a. in addition to UK bank holidays
  • Death in Service cover at 4 x salary
  • Company pension 5% employee contribution, 3% employer contribution
