Senior Strategic Capability Planning Manager: Up to £57,275, 20%+ pension contributions, flexible working, work life balance and great benefits.

We're looking for a brilliant Strategic Capability Planning Manager to join us on DWP's Digital Capability team. Our team buildins and retains the talent that DWP needs to deliver a once-in-a-generation digital transformation, and improve the experience of the millions of people that access our services every day.

We support major people transformation services which will help DWP become a world class digital organisation. One where we design, develop and deliver flexible, efficient, critical and secure systems and services. We provide our customers with what they need, when they need it in a seamless and efficient way.

You and your role

A skilled, experienced and inspirational planning manager with a background in designing and managing workforce strategy. You will create a credible and business-led, future-proofed workforce strategy.

Your expertise in designing and/or managing a workforce strategy will mean that we will be able to make the right data-driven short and long term decisions on our investments and resources.

You will have a major influence in transforming of our services to enable DWP to become a world class digital organisation, where we design, develop and deliver flexible, efficient, critical and secure systems and services.

What are we looking for?

You are an experienced leader in the development and ongoing maintenance of the Capability Strategy.

You are experienced in developing and leveraging insight and prepare forecast on Capability demand, including supply of talent and skills, so that investment and planning can be prioritised to critical roles.

You will have experience of monitoring and tracking cost associated with Digital Capability investments and recommending alternative investment approaches where required.

You will have led the diversity strategy and the captured and analysed attrition data, incorporating insight and action from both into the Capability Strategy.

You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in your choice of Manchester or Blackpool.

In Manchester, we're right on St Peter's Square so dead handy for tram, trains and buses. And we have a basement level lock-up (with shower) if you like to cycle in. We're right in the heart of the city so loads of great options if you want to eat, meet or shop at lunchtime.
