A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Planning professional to join a Central Engineering Support Team within a £ multi-billion turnover speciality Chemicals and gases business.

They now require a Master Engineering Planner covering their UK and Ireland business. The role is based in South Yorkshire and has primary responsibility for creation of the annual project plan, as part of the overall Engineering Resource budget.
They will also maintain the individual schedules and work closely with the Project Managers and Engineering disciplines to highlight deviations in both timelines and costs and to produce 'what if' scenarios to minimise any negative impact to the overall programme.
This role is key to achieving the Engineering strategy to increase capacity and capability to deliver and project delivery success.

    Principal responsibilities:
    - All project scheduling functions, including planning, tracking, analysis and reporting across the project life cycle.
    - Coordinating with the project teams to develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs), cost and schedule baselines, and Estimates at Completion (EACs).
    - Work closely with project teams and managers to review current project status and project future performance.
    - Monitoring cost and schedule performance and performs related analyses. Also prepares portions of program review presentations, produces financial deliverables for both internal and external use and participates in the proposal process.
    - Reporting, analyzing, estimating, and auditing.
    - Prepare status and performance reports for the Business Areas and Engineering Management.
    - Create and/or modify the Integrated Master Schedule and any Supporting Schedules.
    - Create and present executive-level reports, presentations and deliverables that reflect risk and status.
    - Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, develop contingency plans, and incorporate estimates into the schedule.

      You will be able to demonstrate significant work experience in project scheduling; with a thorough knowledge of the use of MS Project. Knowledge of Microsoft Project OnLine (MSPOL) would be an advantageSome form of Project Management certification would also be highly desirable.My client is a renowned global business with in excess of 50,000 employees and a turnover of 17bn Euros.
