Circle Bath Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, has an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Theatre Team.

Role & Responsibilities:

As a Healthcare Assistant you will be supporting the clinical team in the following duties:
  • To prepare the operating theatre for surgery
  • Daily checking of medicine stocks within clinic rooms and main medicine cabinet
  • Chaperoning in clinics as needed
  • To ensure that patients are helped to retain their dignity and individuality.
  • To provide support and assistance to professionals when they are performing specific clinics, clinical treatments and investigative appropriate program's for patients
  • To communicate positively and tactfully with patients, their relatives, carers and visitors.
  • To assist and support patients as they move from one care setting to another, e.g. department to transport.
  • To assist with patients' basic care needs including maintaining personal hygiene, accessing and using toilet facilities if required.
  • To contribute to the movement and treatment of patients in order to minimise discomfort and pain and provide for rest.

Permanent 37.5 hours

Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 6.30pm, 7.30am to 7.30pm, 7.30am to 8.30pm

Weekends - On Call.

Person Specification:
  • Good communication skills written & verbal, with the ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels
  • Effective influencing skills with peer group.
  • Ability to learn new skills and follow procedures.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, instruct & direct others
