Our Client in Fareham is seeking an SC Cleared Infrastructure / Network Architect to fulfil a 2 year contract.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Relevant technical areas include;

Agile deployment of services

Machine learning / AI

Information Exchange Requirements, Management of information over denied and degraded comms

Gateways

Architectures

Assurance of information

Open architectures for information

Information standards

Experience of reviewing technical documentation to understand implications.

Requirements development experience in a systems of systems environment and the ability to write and develop clear technical specifications.

Experience of Trial / experimental design.

Experience of research activities.

Practical experience of building agile information systems.

A formal qualification in a subject related to science, computer science, maths or engineering. However, domain experience is preferred over qualifications.

Duties will include

Provide technical direction and support to Extra-Mural Research contracts with industry and/or academia.

Provide constructive review of deliverables and on-going work.

Identify and scope emerging activities, and support subsequent delivery.

Support engagement and delivery with key international partners.

Depending on role, some international travel may be required.

Support or lead planning and delivery of experiments, demonstrations or other technical work.

Engage with key stakeholders, suppliers and other partners.

Work effectively with the wider SIEI project team to support efficient and coherent delivery.

Provide written reports, presentations and other material in support of all of the above.

The Project three core strands

Interoperability and Convergence of Operational and Tactical CIS: Addressing constraints of legacy technical architectures across deployed enterprise and exploiting opportunities from emerging technologies.

Interoperability of UK, Coalition and other Mission Partner CIS: Encompassing standards for information exchange including C2, Battlespace Management and ISR; leverage and support key partner activity and; exercise of SIE with UK, coalition, other unplanned partners.

Interoperability of CIS, Platform, Sensor and Weapon Systems: Including open architecture approaches and development; flexible use of mixed architectures; and demonstration of use of such architectures as part of an SIE.
