IT Administrator - £28k to £35k p/a DOE + Benefits - London, UK

The Role

Are you dynamic, enthusiastic and self-motivated? Have you been in an IT support role for a couple of years and are looking to take that big next step? Then look no further than BMI Publishing, the award-winning media specialist based close to East Croydon Station and Box Park.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years in an IT support/administration role to step up and join our team. You'll be working with a pool of talented designers, writers and support personnel whilst managing the day-to-day IT operations which keep this fast-paced company on track. The technical requirements of an IT Administrator include, but are not limited to:
  • Microsoft Active Directory - network and printer services
  • LAN and wireless LAN configuration
  • Security planning, auditing and implementation (anti-virus applications, event log auditing; firewall configuration)
  • Local server equipment maintenance (domain controllers, file servers, back-up servers, etc.)
  • Hardware, software and infrastructure solution procurement
  • Ability to plan and develop disaster procedures and maintain data backups
  • VPN client support

Ideally, the successful candidate will also have a keen interest in web development, CMS and e-marketing solutions, as well as product knowledge of Sophos Anti-Virus, SAGE, MS Exchange, Mimecast, Cloudflare, Adobe CS6 suite and MS Office (2010/2011/365).
