Purchase Ledger Clerk - Warrington - £18,000 to £21,000

Your new role
  • Matching stock invoices to goods received notes for cost and quantity
  • Coding and posting of all types of invoices accurately onto the purchase ledger
  • Logging of non-stock invoices when they are received and ensuring appropriate authorisation
  • Preparation, processing and allocation of weekly payment runs which include dealing with prompt payment discounts
  • Liaising with colleagues and suppliers to ensure that invoice queries are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Maintenance of supplier's master data, including obtaining authorisation for changes to this (bank details/addresses etc)
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements, and resolution of any differences
  • Review of ledger balance ageing
  • Assisting with month end and year end procedures
  • Assisting with the annual budgetary process
  • Providing cover for other ad hoc tasks within the Accounts department

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is essential
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Use of banking applications
  • Experience of working in a retail business would be beneficial
