Venn Group is working alongside an established Security & Software Solutions provider to recruit a Public Sector Account Manager. The successful candidate will join an expanding Sales team focusing on the Public Sector, helping Local and Central Government customers become more efficient and provide better services to end users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Defining and sourcing new business opportunities from new and existing customers
  • Arranging/attending remote or on-site visits and meetings with new and existing customers, including travel when required
  • Understanding client's business challenges, advising them on ways the company solutions can address them
  • Maintaining client relationships with key stakeholders across industries, organisations and partnerships
  • Co-ordinating project resourcing with internal Management teams
  • Attending industry meetings/ events and presenting if required
  • Taking ownership of commercials when quoting/tendering new business
  • Formulating business cases and sales proposals to develop opportunities through the full sales life cycle
  • Working closely with Management and Marketing teams on campaigns and events
  • Ensuring client interactions are updated in the CRM
  • Responding to Tenders/Price/Information Requests within your remit
  • Assisting and mentoring new staff that join the business
  • Promoting company products & services (Consultancy & Training)
  • Forecasting and reporting regularly to Management
  • Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver excellent service to clients

Candidates should have:
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in the IT Sales industry (working with clients in the Public Sector)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • A competitive edge, with the drive to succeed in a money-driven environment
  • The ability to deliver in a fast-paced atmosphere against set targets
