Role Summary:

    The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for managing the long-term success of GE's relationship across Scotland in order to address changing market requirements and challenges facing NHS Scotland in its delivery of healthcare services.
    Essential Responsibilities:

      The Strategic Account Manager is instrumental in defining innovative commercial solutions and value propositions to partner with Health Board and NHS Scotland executives in developing new models of service delivery and positioning GE at the forefront of resulting growth opportunities. The SAM will lead the account team, which will include HEF, Commercial Finance, Product Sales Specialists, etc in the development and execution of commercial solutions and value propositions.
      Reports to: Sales Director Imaging

      Key Responsibilities/essential functions include (but are not limited to):

      The SAM will work directly with the Executive Account Director for Scotland
      Build robust strategic business relationships with Health Boards c-suite and senior leadership across the various NHS functional organisations within Scotland
      Identify and grow strategic partnerships with private & public healthcare providers, developing and delivering differentiated business proposals across NHS Scotland
      In conjunction with the Executive Account Director, develop & implement Go-to-Market plans for Scotland, creating innovative growth opportunities and leveraging cross functional teams to achieve results through effective project proposals, negotiations, and contract conclusion.
      A focus on defining and implementation of a 1-3 year strategic business development plan in collaboration with the Executive Account Director.
      Additional focus on short, medium and long term business objectives achievement, coordinating the sales and modality teams in support of the sale of the company's products
      Provide strategic leadership and direction for the GE Healthcare account team encompassing responsibility to provide a one GE Healthcare approach to deliver solutions
      Achieve sales, orders and margin targets for GEHC sales in assigned strategic accounts while managing costs within budget.
      Analyzing of accounts to develop a business plan and strategy creating growth opportunities for GE Healthcare and utilising established management tools such as RACI and PEST
      Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the business of the assigned accounts, including customers' key initiatives and priorities, and keep GE Healthcare Imaging Sales Director, Executive Account Director and modality business leaders informed and appropriately involved.
      Grow GE's share of customer investments in capital and operational expenditures.
      Establish and enhance relationships at C-suite level within Health Board accounts through responsive resolution of issues and addressing customer needs by integrating all relevant GE Healthcare resources.
      Ensure knowledge of and compliance with Quality, Regulatory, integrity and company policies.


        Education to Bachelor Degree level or equivalent knowledge or experience
        Extensive experience in Business Management or Sales/Marketing.
        Significant experience in closing large, complex, strategic deals within the NHS, public or B2B Environment
        Healthcare experience in a demanding commercial environment.
        Experience in successful leveraging across a matrix organization to define and deliver commercially innovative business propositions.
        Proven strategic account management,large commercial project planning skills and demonstrable change mangement experience
        Experience in leading and responding to large public tenders
        Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels.
        Proven track record on relationship building skills at all levels within healthcare
        High level presentation skills; able to present ideas to senior customers in a way that produces understanding , impact and value
        Demonstrated commercial,operational and clinical innovation in public healthcare environments with particular understanding of the NHS Scotland futureLandscape & vision
        Fluent in English language
        Commercially intuitive, proactive, possessing high energy, in order to interpret customer challenges and define innovative proposals
        Developing a qualified sales funnel based on short, medium and long term business objectives
