Based in Crawley Court, Winchester
Up to £34,000 per annum Plus Comprehensive Benefits

Arqiva is the UK's largest & leading neutral host organisation providing the UK's Mobile Network Operators with a combination of great sites, high quality cell site towers & infrastructure and industry leading service levels.

We are about to embark on an ambitious capital works programme to upgrade many of our mobile towers & rooftops for MBNL, and in turn their shareholders, BT/EE and 3UK, to support their 5G roll out programme.

We are seeking a meticulous CAD Technician to support the successful delivery of this programme, upgrading telecoms capabilities to move the digital world to a faster, more reliable 5G network.

Working from Daventry, Romsley or Altrincham, the CAD Technician will provide design and drawing services relating to the installation, maintenance and operation of telecommunications/broadcast equipment and associated infrastructure.

Duties will include:

- Acting as the subject matter expert in design requirements for steelwork design and detailing, civil and structural engineering or electrical design and detailing for site installations
- Designing and preparing general arrangement, planning, structural and detail design drawings
- Organising and completing site surveys, including buildings and structures
- Maintaining the Arqiva Master Drawing System

To join us as our CAD Technician, you will need to be adaptable, resourceful and able to thrive in a challenging and fluid environment. The following is also essential:

- Significant technical training and experience across telecoms and broadcast areas
- Design experience in civil and structural engineering or mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Advanced technical knowledge of AutoCAD 2018 and above
- Experience and/or knowledge of CDM regulations and Health and Safety compliance
- Previous experience of climbing mast and tower structures or the willingness to undertake this training if required
- Proficiency in MS Office and corporate databases
- An HNC qualification or equivalent

A professional institute membership or significant technical training and design experience in M&E, structural or civil and structural engineering disciplines would be beneficial to your application.
