Sharepoint Manager - up to £57.5k

Capita IT Resourcing is currently partnered with a leading research organistion in their search for a Sharepoint Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is a new position and the successful candidate will lead the migration from the current, on-premise solution to the new, Cloud-hosted, single repository system. We need someone who is able to analyse and gather requirements, engaging with key stakeholders and architecting a solution. You will then be responsible for implementing this solution so we need hands-on candidates with full lifecycle experience.

Key skills and experience for the Sharepoint Manager role:

- Experienced professional with relevant experience in designing, developing, operating and supporting a company-wide service
- Relevant experience with SharePoint information architecture principles
- Relevant experience with business analysis and requirements management
- Relevant experience with using SharePoint designer
- Relevant experience with SharePoint support and administration
- Cross platform support (Linux, Windows & Mac)
- Intermediate level SQL administration
- MCSA or similar certification is preferred but is not essential

Key accountabilities for the Sharepoint Manager role:
- To provide leadership and technical direction to develop the existing SharePoint Online service into a full company-wide service, to provide excellent user support and to ensure easy and efficient use.
- To use technical and professional knowledge to deliver a professionally run and reliable service for storing and archiving corporate documents.
- To use technical and professional knowledge to develop the SharePoint Online service to support numerous activities - including delivery of workflows within sites (after delivery of initial priority).
- To provide business analysis support for the strategy, design, and continued development of the company's SharePoint Online service.
- To use professional expertise and experience to define an Information Architecture and taxonomy that facilitates and encourages appropriate document access and sharing, and the ability to search for documents across the company.
- To use valuable and broad technical and professional experience to migrate documents from other storage services; to support Windows, Mac and Linux SharePoint users; and to support change across the organisation.
- To provide full user support for the corporate repository document service including: preparing templates, building workflows, advising users on how to achieve their ambitions, providing excellent documentation, and resolving problems.
- To be responsible for ensuring that the SharePoint Online service is consistent with business expectations, delivers sustainable performance and availability, has Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans in place, and is secure.
- To optimise use of Office 365 products that integrate with SharePoint Online, in particular Teams and OneDrive.
- To maintain and build key business relationships through regular meetings with group leaders and the legal team.
- To support engagement efforts to promote better comprehension of SharePoint capabilities and enforce/encourage user adoption; to hold training and informational sessions to teach users how to use SharePoint.
