Are you an electronics engineer with experience of AutoCAD design? Are you looking for a new position to challenge you and utilise your technical knowledge?

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Edenbridge, is looking for an experienced Design and Production Engineer, with two to seven years work experience, to join their busy team. This is an opportunity to utilise your design skills and develop new products that meet customer requirements and expand your expertise.

Duties of the role include:
-Studying customer proposals for work and developing the design for production
-Designing using AutoCAD and generating drawings
-Using computer-assisted engineering and design software
-Ensuring the necessary bills of materials are available or loaded on to GLOVIA G2 ERP system
-Following the company AS9100 approved quality system to generate CDU
-Liaison between estimating, contract review, manufacturing and purchasing to ensure timely issue of purchase orders and actions regarding requirements for special jigs, fixtures, and special test interface cables or fittings.
-Cost estimating for parts and supplies
-Offering technical support for customers, production and engineering
-Completing documentation and paperwork

This role would suit an experienced AutoCAD engineer with experience in Solidworks or PRO/E. 3D Inventor would be an advantage. This would suit someone well educated and well experienced in these fields with a basic awareness of electrical engineering, metallurgy, electrical wiring, interconnection systems, and flexible PCBs.

The ideal candidate will be:
-Educated to degree level or have three to seven years recent and relevant experience
-Experienced use of AutoCAD
-Able to read engineering drawings including GAs, items lists, wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams
-Experience of a production planning environment preferably within a manufacturing organisation.
-Experience of working within an AS9100 accredited system.
-Familiar with manufacturing processes within an electromechanical assembly environment.
-Excellent reading and writing skills: a good command of the English Language
-Clear communication skills
-Mathematically minded with a good grasp of probability and statistical inference, the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
-Problem-solving abilities
-The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
-Have worked in an MRP/ERP system - preferable GLOVIA G2
