Finance Manager - £55,000 - £60,000 per Annum + Benefits - Permanent - Slough

Our client, a leading manufacturing company are seeking a Finance Manager with strong Financial Accounting experience to oversee the full range of finance related activity. Key areas in the role will include accurate financial reporting, annual accounts, tax & VAT payments and payroll payments.

Finance Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • Create monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports for the company directors.
  • Ensuring all VAT and PAYE returns are accurately completed in line with guidelines and timing.
  • Review and amend processes to drive efficiencies, productivity and accuracy whilst ensuring the processes are matching the business requirements.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Ensuring bank credits reconcile and feeds through to the cash flow forecasts.
  • Reconciling accounts to trial balance.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Prepare and post journal vouchers.
  • Maintain and update the payroll to ensure accurate and timely payments to staff.
  • Manage the company's credit control to ensure money owed is collected within agreed KPI's.
  • Managing the relationship with the company's banks to ensure efficient cash flow and resolution of any issues.

Finance Manager Key Skills:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a financial role ideally within an SME.
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience of Opera Accounting Systems would be advantageous.
