Role- 2nd Line Support Engineer

Location- Eastbourne

Term- Permanent

Salary- £25,000 per annum

I am looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join my IT client based in Eastbourne. This is a great opportunity for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to become a part of an exciting business on their journey to success and growth, whilst receiving huge amounts of training along the way. As the 2nd Line Support Engineer you will deal with all external client issues and escalate when necessary. The 2nd Line Support Engineer you will have some of the following attributes:
  • Previous experience working as a 2nd Line Support Engineer or working in a support environment
  • Experience working with Active Directory
  • Exchange and Office 365
  • Understanding of troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Knowing your way around hardware, setting up/fixing laptops, desktops and other bits of IT equipment
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems
  • Windows servers
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including routers and switches
  • Understanding of Virtualisation would be beneficial
  • Great communication, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong ambitions to succeed and progress
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong passion for IT and a willingness to learn!
  • Full UK driving licence

As 2nd Line Support Engineer some of your duties will include:
  • Support all external clients with any issues related to hardware and software
  • Help monitor networks
  • Roll out new hardware within businesses
  • Support and troubleshoot hardware peripherals
  • Software instillations and upgrades
  • Assist the projects team on different projects
  • Log and update internal systems with any issues.
  • Set up new users
