Our client based in Buckinghamshire is looking to recruit an Account Executive to contribute to daily client account work and supporting clients in the execution of communications marketing activities including media relations, content development, research, social media campaigns, event coordination, etc.

Client Relations

* Handle and act quickly and efficiently to enquiries from clients of all levels

* Attend client meetings where appropriates

* Help prepare for quarterly reviews and PR planning days to ensure everything is well organised

* Develop good working relations with junior managers in the client companies, gaining their trust for the agency and respect for the work we do

* Ensure all clients plans are kept up to date to reflect changes in the clients marketing plans

* Help develop the optimum communications tool to convey the success of individual PR campaigns back to the client

* Scan in all client / competitive coverage and issue on day of issue

* Update monthly PowerPoint coverage presentations to client

Campaign Development & Delivery

* Draft press releases, gain approval and organise distribution to key journalists

* Sell into all media types and confidently discuss coverage opportunities with journalists to secure the best possible results for your clients

* Prepare information for features and issue to relevant journalists with correct photography. Ensure feature information is constantly updated

* Ensure feature schedule is kept updated

* Organise photography to accompany releases and gain client approval

* When needed recommend journalist gift ideas and source as appropriate

* Help to arrange telephone interviews / one-on-one briefings where appropriate between the client and the journalists. Prepare Q's and A's document where relevant

* Draft proposals for any branded initiatives which require some additional support over and above a press release e.g. one on one briefings or a publishing house tour

* Manage all the logistics behind a product mail-out

* Draft copy for advertorials and manages the interface with the specified title

* Handle the booking and copy writing for reader giveaways

* When required, co-ordinate logistics of organising a press briefing (e.g. sourcing and booking venue, liaising with journalists re: invites, arranging product photography & samples, shaping the presentation and pulling together press packs)

* Regularly meet with representatives from the various media channels to ensure industry knowledge is as up to speed as possible and to discuss potential opportunities for your clients

Person Spec

* Experience as public relations and marketing intern

* Strong communication skills (both written and oral), research, and organisation skills

* Ability to work under pressure, to meet deadlines and prioritise in a fast-paced environment

* Confidence to make suggestions, bring ideas to the wider team that focuses on client experience and work alone or as part of a team

* High level of attention to detail and the ability to present and interpret quantitative and qualitative data

* Positive attitude to challenging situations and a willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time

* Highly motivated and enthusiastic

* Strong work ethic

* Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
